CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a CT Technologist for a 10-hour shift role. This position is open to local candidates only—you must reside within a 30-mile radius of the facility.

Shift & Schedule

• Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM EST
• Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST
• On-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements

Core Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, adhering strictly to department policy and procedure
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients appropriately, including safe lifting and movement techniques for patients with limited mobility
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, identify images, and ensure images are sent to PACS correctly upon exam completion
• Keep the scanning facility clean and safe

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• ARRT certification
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license prior to start date
• Injection therapy certification on your NYS license at time of submission
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Telemetry certification
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition
• Team player mentality with ability to maintain a cohesive working environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• Willingness to complete injection certification during orientation if needed

Compensation & Duration

You will earn $3,003 per week. This is an 89-day assignment with a start date of July 6, 2026.
