Respiratory Therapist Job in Fredericksburg, VA

Mary Washington Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 30, 2026. You will work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a weekly pay of $1,918.08.

Role and Responsibilities

• Float between the Emergency Room and Adult ICU Stepdown units as needed
• Perform airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting
• Administer aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases
• Implement and manage CPAP and BiPAP therapy
• Provide medication administration support
• Assume charge responsibilities with training provided if needed
• Mandatory on-call requirement of 3 shifts per 6 weeks; every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred)
• Valid VA license and BLS certification
• CRTT certification required; ACLS required within 90 days of start date
• Minimum 4 years respiratory therapy experience; travel experience preferred
• Experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and community hospital settings
• NICU and adult ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with airway management, medication administration, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizers
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current flu vaccine required; no exemptions

• Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules within 1 week of signing
• Attendance at monthly department meetings or acknowledgment of meeting minutes required
