Vascular Sonography Tech Job in Washington, IA

Washington County Hospital and Clinics is seeking an Ultrasound Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography. You will perform high-quality general and vascular ultrasound studies in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform general ultrasound including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies
• Set up equipment and assist the radiologist during procedures
• Generate and complete exam orders using EMR systems
• Record and analyze quality control data to maintain accuracy and precision
• Operate PACS systems for releasing and transmitting images
• Maintain safe working environment through equipment checks and cleaning
• Transport patients as needed
• Monitor department supply needs and notify supervisors of equipment malfunctions
• Complete regular in-house education and competency assessments

Physical Requirements:

• Stand 7–8 hours per workday; walk 6–7 hours per workday
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and awkward weights up to 100+ lbs as needed
• Bend, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level 20–30 times daily

Qualifications:

• Graduate from accredited ultrasound school
• BLS certification required
• RVT registration preferred
• RDMS (AB, OB/GYN) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to schedule changes

Position Details:

4x10 days schedule, $2,920 weekly. 91-day assignment starting May 28, 2026. You must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to cover additional shifts.
