About this role
St Joseph Medical Center is seeking an RN for inpatient wound care in Tacoma, WA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 4x10 day schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You'll earn $2,811.38 weekly.
Your Role
You will manage a caseload of 5–15 patients per day, collaborating with 3–4 other RNs on the wound care team. Your responsibilities include wound assessment, prevention education, and interdisciplinary coordination with consults and recommendations. You will handle ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, vascular and arterial wounds, and diabetic ulcerations. Documentation and billing tasks, along with discharge planning for supplies, are part of your daily workflow. You'll use phone-based photo documentation and Smith and Nephew wound vacs, charting in the EPIC system.
Schedule & Flexibility
There are no weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements. You may float to other facilities as needed, sometimes with advance notice. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Requirements
- Valid Washington RN license
- BLS certification
- CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)
- WCC via NAWCO
Previous travel healthcare experience is not required. A BSN is not required. Orientation will be provided to all hospitals with preceptor support and documentation education.
Assignment Details
