RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable day/night shifts
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed; unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments and may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Care for Neuro ICU population including Stroke, TBI, head injury, and Neurosurgery patients in an 8-bed Neuro unit
• Primary procedures include Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation
• Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
• Experience as Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
• Strong assessment skills in Neuro required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background required; 1 travel assignment preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
