Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement as needed
• Holiday requirement as needed
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with at least one 1:6 ratio shift per week
• 42-bed unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available at a 1:10-12 ratio
• Charge nurse present on each shift and takes an assignment
• Titratable drips limited to Heparin only
• Respiratory therapy available 24 hours on the floor
• Telemetry available on the floor with centralized telemetry station
• Floating may be required to PCU or Burn units
• Charting system: EPIC
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Orientation consists of first week in classroom followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
• Required certification: BLS
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
