Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement of 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays within a 6-week schedule period
• At least 1 holiday required - either July 4th or Labor Day
• No on-call requirements
• Guaranteed contracted hours; mandatory low census cancellations must occur 1.5 hours before shift start, with no more than one mandatory cancellation per two-week pay period
• May float within scope to PICU, Pediatric Acute (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow Location to care for patients less than one year of age - refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation
• 1 year of NICU experience required; previous travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RNC
• Active Oregon State license required; pending license accepted with proof of application and fingerprints submitted
• Scrub color: any color except black and camouflage
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment start
• Key clinical skills required include: NICU III/IV, neonates less than 24-28 weeks, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, isolation precautions and PPE, arterial line management, central line and implanted line care, UAC, UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, neonatal abstinence syndrome, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), invasive hemodynamic monitoring, neonatal dosage calculations, and PA lines
• Special procedures include attending high-risk deliveries, neonatal PICC placement, UAC/UVC line placement, on-unit surgeries, exchange transfusions, body cooling, and CRRT
• Special equipment includes neonatal beds, Neopuff, and NicView cameras
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
