Physical Therapist Job in Artesia, NM

Artesia General Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Artesia, New Mexico. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, with weekend rotation required once every 5 weekends covering inpatient units. You may also be asked to participate in holiday rotation.

You will work primarily in hospital-based outpatient physical therapy with the potential to flex into the inpatient medical/surgical rehab unit. You will treat 8 to 10 patients per day, working with a diverse patient population ranging from juvenile patients (typically age 5 and older) to geriatrics. Common diagnoses include total joints, back/shoulder/foot pain, and neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, and Parkinson's disease.

Your responsibilities include:

• Implementing individualized treatment plans and monitoring patient progress
• Guiding patients through functional exercises and equipment use
• Documenting patient progress and maintaining open communication with the supervising PT and patients
• Reporting patient progress to the supervising physical therapist

The facility uses the TruBridge - Evident charting system. You will receive a department-specific orientation that includes 1 to 2 shifts with a preceptor. Business casual attire (collared shirt, khaki or black pants) or solid-colored scrubs are required.

• Weekly pay: $1,848

Requirements:

• PT State License
• BLS certification
• 1 year of outpatient Physical Therapist experience outside of clinicals (inpatient-only experience will also be considered)
• First-time travelers are accepted
