CVOR RN Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced RN for a 91-day travel assignment in Cardiovascular Surgery. You will work Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with occasional on-call responsibilities 1–2 times per week. This is a backfill position; experienced travelers only.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 4-bed CV PreOp unit with a 1:1 patient ratio. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform large-bore IV starts, chin-to-toe hair removal, medication administration, and comprehensive skin assessment
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
• Transport patients to the OR and support with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep
• Monitor patients using GE Carescape equipment and perform ultrasound support with Fuji devices
• Document all care in the Cerner electronic health records system with strong attention to detail and BCMA compliance
• Float within your scope of practice and experience as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Critical care experience required; PreOp experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong critical thinking and independent work skills in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and interdepartmental collaboration abilities
• Prior travel nursing experience
