Interventional Radiology Technologist in Lexington, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a full-time travel position in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a first-shift role working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Call, weekend, and holiday coverage is required.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using computer processing and related imaging techniques
• Produce diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners
• Apply pulsed x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients
• Verify orders, patient name, date of birth, and medical history prior to procedures
• Perform and document peripheral venipuncture when necessary for exams
• Monitor patients continuously throughout all exams and procedures
• Perform and document time-out procedures for all invasive procedures
• Document all patient care incidents in the electronic health record
• Assist radiologists and authorized providers with exams and protocol establishment
• Coordinate patient exams with transport and nursing units
• Apply radiation protection measures utilizing ALARA principles for patients and self
• Train new employees on equipment functionality and exam protocols
• Provide supervision and instruction to imaging students during clinical rotations
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and departmental policies

Position Details:

• Weekly pay: $3,650
• Assignment duration: 89 days
