Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Crisis Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week) caring for adult and geriatric patients in a 41-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6–7.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac monitoring
• Administer blood products, manage heparin and IV insulin protocols
• Perform wound care and manage patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Float to similar units at least once per week
• Document in EPIC and manage medications via Pyxis system
• Work as part of Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, with possible reporting requirements during catastrophic events

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina or Compact license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• BCLS certification
• Pass EKG test for this specialty
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Schedule and Duration

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed; no RTO during first week
• Contract length: 91 days (13–26 weeks accepted)
• Start date: June 22, 2026
