PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday
• 24 hours of call required per 6-week period as needed
• Night shift nurses expected to pre-op patients for first cases from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM when no PACU patients present
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 40 guaranteed hours with 40-hour orientation
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Float within service line to meet facility needs
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Critical Care
• Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• PACU and critical care experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Must be proficient in managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
• Care for surgical patients including GU, GYN, Colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, Bariatric, and some ENT
• Navy scrubs required
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
