Technologist - Interventional Radiology Lab

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 days per week
• Weekend shifts are on-call only
• Holiday shifts are on-call only as the department is not open on holidays
• On-call responsibilities may require staying late but overnight and weekend call-ins are infrequent
• Call hours apply to any time outside of normal department operating hours
• Work in a small community hospital seeing fewer than 20 patients per day with a mix of inpatients and outpatients
• Typical staffing consists of 2-3 techs and 3-4 RNs per shift
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2/1:1
• Unit includes two IR rooms and three holding bays within a 148-bed hospital
• Perform and assist with procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, line placements, lumbar punctures, biopsies, drain placements, dialysis work, GI bleed interventions, uterine artery embolizations, port placements, G-tube placements and replacements, nephrostomy tube placements and replacements, and cholecystostomy tube placements and replacements
• Must be able to set up tables and scrub with physicians
• Must be able to use Epic to look up patients
• Proficiency with Siemens Artis Zee and GE Ultrasound equipment required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
