Registered Nurse (RN) - 200112 Telemetry 7 - Nights

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred but not required
• Work on a 38-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios typically 1:4 up to 1:6 based on acuity
• Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro)
• May float to intensive care units, medical-surgical units, or other locations based on competency level
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends and holidays
