Electrophysiology Technician

Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech Radiology Cardiology

Job Details:

• Minimum of 2 years of EP Tech experience required; travel experience highly preferred
• Perform procedures on adult patients under the direction of a qualified cardiologist for accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart arrhythmias
• Act as first assistant during diagnostic EP studies, therapeutic ablation procedures, and surgical device implantations
• Review pre-procedural patient assessments, communicate pertinent data to physician, and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety
• Operate and maintain radiographic, digital, processing, and viewing equipment to produce high quality images
• Assist in the operation of mapping systems and ablation generators
• Apply principles of radiation safety and protection
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products used in procedures
• Assist in the education of new employees and mentoring of students and other healthcare professionals in the EP lab
• Assist in the development of performance improvement activities including data collection, analysis, and implementing best practices
• Assist in maintaining accurate implantable device database
• Call requirement: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, one day per week to finish cases
• No float required - assignment is at Edgewood location only
• No weekend shifts required
• EPIC charting experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT (CI, V, or R accepted), BLS, ACLS; KMBIRT (KY state cert) can be pending at time of submission
• Scrubs and apparel must not have any agency or brand logos
• No nose rings or gauged earrings; natural fingernails required for direct patient care with nails less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
