Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Kerrville, TX

Tide Health Group - Arbor View Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a long-term care position in Kerrville, TX. This is a 91-day temporary assignment on a flexible 5x8 schedule during day shifts, with no on-call or weekend responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your work will be grounded in evidence-based practice and focused on helping patients regain mobility and function.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings with your supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and team members regarding physical rehabilitation
• Document all treatment information in the electronic health record system and maintain accurate patient records
• Record treatment minutes according to regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings
• Contribute to discharge summaries per clinical and regulatory standards
• Support and supervise students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Complete facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Adhere to APTA practice standards, state regulations, and professional ethics

Requirements

• Active Texas PTA license (verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Skills checklist completion within 1 year of submission
• Professional references required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,670.40

Assignment Details

Start date: July 20, 2026. Duration: 91 days. Schedule: 5x8 flex, day shifts only. No weekends, no on-call.
