Job Details:

• 1st shift position, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call, weekend, and holiday availability required
• Perform CT procedures, computer processing, and related imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images
• Verify patient orders, patient name, date of birth, and medical history prior to procedures
• Perform and document peripheral venipuncture when necessary for exams
• Continuously monitor patients throughout exams and provide appropriate patient care
• Apply radiation protection for patients and self, utilizing ALARA principles for all exams
• Adjust exam protocols for pediatric patients in accordance with ACR Image Gently guidelines
• Produce quality images for Radiologist review and prepare copies for release in electronic health record
• Verify images are archived to PACS and send images to tele-radiology service after hours as instructed
• Complete equipment warm-up and quality control procedures including room checks and contrast reaction monitoring
• Report equipment malfunctions and environmental safety concerns to appropriate personnel
• Monitor and maintain supply inventory, restock supplies and linens as needed
• Assist Radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures as necessary
• Document all patient care incidents in electronic health record including medications given, contrast reactions, and infiltrates
• Participate in image Peer Review and assist with ACR accreditation as needed
• Maintain professional working environment and follow all hospital policies and guidelines
• Provide supervision and instruction to imaging students during clinical rotations
• Assist with training new employees on equipment functionality and exam protocols
• Wear assigned personal dosimetry at all times
