NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day shift) or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night shift)
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Holiday coverage required when there is a need
• No more than 5 shifts in a row scheduled
• No self-scheduling - scheduler works with traveler to create schedule
• No call or standby requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
• Care for premature infants 22 weeks and above, respiratory distress patients, surgical patients, and feeder/growers
• Required to titrate drips including Morphine, Dopamine, and Epinephrine
• Work with respiratory equipment including Drager, Servo, HFJV, HFOV, Nava, Cpap, and Nasal Cannula
• May float to Pediatrics, PICU, nursery, Mother Baby, or other NICU locations with orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE Certification
• BSN degree required
• Experience requirements: 2 years NICU experience if only NICU background, or 1 year NICU experience with other RN experience
• Three shifts of orientation: 2 unit-specific shifts plus 1 shift with educator
• Dress code: Hospital blue scrubs or personal scrubs
• EPIC charting system
• Cancellation policy allows four shift cancellations per 13-week assignment
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
