Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on an acute medical-surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting May 11, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,102.40.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12 day shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

Unit Details

• 44-bed acute med-surg unit with 40 staff members
• Patient ratio of 1:5, possibly 1:6 on day and night shifts
• Work with certified nursing assistants at ratios of 1:8 to 1:10
• Telemetry monitoring available on a separate unit
• Float to all acute care units, cardiology for medical patients, and emergency department for acute care patient holds

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in med-surg specialty required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS (AHA certified) required
• Must live within 75-mile radius from hospital based on driver's license address

System & Dress Code

• Electronic medical records: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required)
• Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Orientation

• General orientation: 1 week including EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
