Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 evening/night rotation with shift times of 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• High acuity PACU RN experience required
• ICU experience preferred and required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam achieving at least 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Pediatric PACU, Phase I, Phase II recovery, and Pre-post experience required
• CERNER charting system experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Call required: possibly 5-6 per six week period for day/evening shifts
• Float required to cover ICU
• Weekend shifts: 2 weekends per 6 weeks
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for all shifts
• Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle various surgical specialties including orthopedic, gynecological, vascular, ENT, endoscopy, colorectal, pediatric dental, breast, and neuro/spine procedures
• 12 recovery rooms with daily census of 45 patients
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs will be provided
• Must have Maryland license or compact license
