CVICU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 4, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,365.20.

Schedule and Staffing

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Four weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Float to other ICU and telemetry units as needed, with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 in CVICU and 4:1 on telemetry
• May float to Westgate campus when requested

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, and ECMO patients
• Handle high-acuity patients with bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and epidural management
• Strong IV skills required as no IV team is available

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Current RN license
• Level I trauma experience required; Level 2 experience will be considered
• ICU experience with cardiac patient care required (CVICU experience preferred)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1 covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

• Two-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry monitoring
• Navy scrub color required
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings required; men must be clean shaven for fit testing
