PCU Registered Nurse Job in Memphis, Tennessee

Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,151.36 per week.

About the Role

You will provide care for cardiac stepdown patients requiring continuous monitoring and observation. The 48-bed unit is equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring. Patient ratios are 1:4–5 in a team nursing environment. You may float between like units and campuses within 20 miles. Weekend coverage and on-call shifts are required as needed.

Your Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• At least one completed travel nursing assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Active RN license in state or compact license
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with Telemetry and IV Start skills
• Cerner experience preferred

Assignment Details

Start date is May 18, 2026. You must live at least 100 miles from the facility. A flu vaccine is required with no exemptions. If Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's fall during your assignment, you must work 2 of the 3 holidays.

Patient Care Focus

You will care for patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes requiring more than standard medical/surgical care but less than intensive care. The PCU bridges the gap between acute care and step-down settings, providing specialized monitoring and intervention for patients in transition.
