Opportunity:
Echo Technologist - Echo Tech
Job Details:
• Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week
• Work alongside a Cardiology Team in a hospital and office setting under the supervision of Practice Providers, Cardiology Director, Lead Echo Tech, and Practice Manager
• Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
• Obtain high quality imaging and assist physicians in interpreting diagnostic data
• Ensure proper record keeping and provide care in accordance with hospital and practice standards
• Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography to provide accurate diagnostic information
• Provide patient and caregiver education and act as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care
• Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography as set forth by ARDMS and/or CCI credentialing organizations
• Demonstrate competence in equipment and technology system performance, patient monitoring, archiving of studies, and supply procurement
• Organize exam rooms, set up for procedures, assist with general cleaning and office upkeep, and support quality monitoring and record keeping
• Must be proficient in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred with registry required within 1 year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider) certification required or must be obtained within the preliminary employment period
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and personable in a fast-paced practice setting
