PT - Physical Therapist Inpatient

Job Details:

• Inpatient physical therapist position for rural hospital setting
• Must have South Carolina physical therapy license
• BLS-AHA certification required
• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy using specialized testing procedures and skills
• Assess patient strength, range of motion, coordination, perception, sensation, ambulation, transfers, and bed mobility
• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care directed towards short and long term goals
• Supervise operation of specific treatment team and meet regularly with PTAs to discuss patients and set goals
• Perform evidence-based care and seek research to support interventions
• Provide treatments as ordered in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain medical documentation in accordance with APTA standards of care
• Work with staff in development of professional skills, new programs, and patient treatment plans
• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Attend services, meetings, and educational sessions
• Assist in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in department caseload
• Ensure orderly, clean and safe work area
• Respect confidentiality of patient records and facility operations at all times
