CVICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12-hour shift CVICU position in Oklahoma City, OK. This 89-week travel assignment begins October 12, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $2,501.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to a group of assigned cardiovascular intensive care patients
• Demonstrate proficiency with Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy), and ECMO support
• Deliver post-open heart surgery care, including day 2 recovery protocols
• Monitor and document physiological data; observe and respond to patient manifestations
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Review and implement all physician order changes for assigned patients
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Provide competent nursing care across simple to complex health conditions
• Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
• Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and protocols
• Make appropriate referrals to support services based on patient needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as required

You must hold current RN licensure and demonstrate hands-on experience with advanced cardiovascular support technologies, including Impella and balloon pump management. This role is ideal for nurses seeking a structured travel assignment with established pay and clear duration expectations.
