Physical Therapist Assistant Inpatient Rehab Job in Mountain Home, AR

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, with a Monday through Friday, 5x8 day schedule—no weekends or call requirements.

Position Overview

You will work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital environment treating adult and geriatric patients. You will see approximately 6 patients per visit per day, working with a daily census of 20 patients, each receiving 3 hours of therapy daily. You'll participate in weekly interdisciplinary team staffing meetings and collaborate with social services and unit secretary support staff.

Patient Populations & Conditions

You will treat patients with a range of diagnoses including CVA, neurological conditions, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury (TBI), non-traumatic brain injury (NTBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), non-traumatic spinal cord injury (NTSCI), hip fractures, amputations, and multiple trauma.

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

• Gait training and adaptive/assistive device use
• Electrical stimulation (e-stim) and range of motion therapy (AROM, AAROM, PROM)
• Post-stroke rehabilitation and discharge planning
• Home exercise program development

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Education Program (CAPT-accredited)
• Minimum 12 to 18 months of related experience (excluding clinical affiliations)
• Current Arkansas PTA license in good standing (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Associate's Degree preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, push, pull, and occasionally lift up to 250 pounds using proper body mechanics for up to or exceeding 8 hours per day
• Basic computer knowledge required; Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,022. Duration: 91 days.
