RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Night shift position
• 3 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Must have EPIC experience
• Must have prior floating experience (float pool shifts, other facilities, and/or floating to other floors/units)
• Float pool includes the following units: Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow standard AACN CCU staffing - assignments are 1:2 depending on acuity; may have 1:3 if acuity is lower or transfer orders are in place
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; high acuity experience preferred
• Common patient diagnoses include medical, surgical, neurological, and cardiac conditions
• Required to titrate drips including Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS
• RT equipment includes ventilators, high flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Phillips monitors in use; RNs are required to read strips with at least one monitor tech on unit
• Charting system: Cerner
• Self-scheduling available
• Charge RN creates assignments at 0645 for day shift and 1845 for night shift; RNs choose assignments
• Scrub color/dress code: Royal Blue
• Orientation includes General Hospital Orientation (Monday starts weekly), Myles Modules, Cerner Validation class, and 2 on-unit orientation shifts in the ICU
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Washington state or Compact nursing license required
• BSN not required
