Job Details:

• Work in a 7-room inpatient/outpatient operating unit as primary base with float coverage to the main 26-room OR when needed
• Monday through Friday schedule with unit typically finishing by 7:00-8:00 PM
• Required to complete 2 weekend call shifts and the equivalent of one 11:00 AM to 7:45 PM shift per week of contract
• Must be able to scrub; Da Vinci XI experience is required
• Must be able to circulate and/or scrub posterior eye and eye trauma cases
• Perform scrubbing and/or circulating duties across a variety of surgical specialties including:
  - General surgery: hernias, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, Nissen fundoplications, PEG placements, and GI procedures
  - Colorectal: open and laparoscopic bowel resections and some robotic procedures
  - Gynecology: oncology and benign cases both open, laparoscopic, and robotic; D&C hysteroscopy, LEEP, and tubal procedures
  - Urology: cystoscopy, stents, TURB, TURP, PERCs, HoLEPs, open/laparoscopic/robotic nephrectomies and cystectomies, and gender affirmation with phalloplasty
  - Breast: biopsies, mastectomies with lymph node dissection, and mastectomies with reconstruction
  - Eye: plastics, cataracts, and vitrectomies (approximately 3 times per month)
  - Brachytherapy: assisting with device insertion, primarily performed by radiation oncology team
  - Plastics: typically performed in conjunction with breast or gender affirmation cases
  - Uro-Gynecology: slings and anterior/posterior repair
  - Robotics: primarily urology and gynecology with some bariatric cases; up to 2 rooms may be robotic simultaneously
• Float to main OR when overstaffed or rooms finish early
