Sonographer-WMG-OBGYN-Days - Ob/Gyn Sonographer

Job Details:

• Day shift position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 5 days per week schedule
• Dress code: Medical scrubs required
• OB/GYN experience required
• Epic system knowledge required
• Experience with Samsung ultrasound units required
• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Ensure proper patient identification using 2 unique identifiers before performing procedures
• Produce and review ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results
• Send all studies to PACS immediately after completion and complete all studies in RIS
• Perform and maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection
• Maintain, clean, and disinfect equipment in accordance with infection control policies
• Restock linens and supplies and maintain department in clean and orderly condition
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Required certifications: ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or ARRT-S (ARRT Sonography), and BLS (AHA), ARC-BLS, or BLS-I
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Successful completion of a Sonography Training Program required
• High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Must be competent in all aspects of ultrasound, patient positioning, and exposure factors
• Must have working knowledge of anatomy and pathology and how they affect procedure quality
