Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Schedule options available: 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48
• Rotating weekends and rotating holidays required
• Must work every other weekend per contract
• No call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling available
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• When floated to Medical-Surgical unit, ratio becomes 1:7
• Team nursing model with RN plus one unlicensed personnel
• 24 hours of orientation (16 hours non-billable)
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Charge experience preferred
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, ICU downgrades, and stroke overflow
• Perform procedures including catheterizations, stress tests, and TEE
• Use specialized equipment: bladder scanning, EKG, vein finders
• Skills required: blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, chest tubes, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip titration
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
