ED Registered Nurse Job in Tucson, AZ

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide direct nursing care to emergency room patients in a 38-bed department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. You will demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in fast-paced emergency situations, maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and evidence-based practice.

Shift and Schedule

You will work a 3x12 night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 48-hour guarantee consideration. Weekly compensation is $2,102.40.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care demands
• Maintain all required certifications and clinical competencies

Requirements

• Current Arizona nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available)
• NIH certification recommended but not required

Additional Information

Black scrubs are required per facility dress code. You must be willing to adapt to the dynamic nature of emergency nursing and respond effectively to changing patient acuity and census.
