OR RN Job in Springfield, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Springfield as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This 13-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with a strong interventional vascular program.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 4x10 day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting June 1, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,336
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• Call requirements: average 5 or fewer per 8-week period

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 patient care as scrub nurse or OR circulator
• Assist vascular surgeons in the OR and hybrid imaging suite
• Support both endovascular and open surgical cases
• Work with nursing team and surgical technologists across patient acuity levels, from outpatient to critical care inpatient
• Perform direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Operate equipment including DaVinci Robot
• Float to other OR areas as required

Requirements

• Current RN License (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• Minimum 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience considered)
• Minimum 1 year Interventional Vascular experience with conscious sedation competency
• Scrub and OR circulator experience required
• BLS certification from AHA only

Working Environment

• Use EPIC EMR system
• Black scrubs required; no jeans or unprofessional attire
• Standing and walking most of shift
• Lifting and pushing patients; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
