Job Details:

• Implement professional nursing practice centered on patient-centered care and creation of healing environment
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints
• Collect objective/quantitative and subjective/qualitative data
• Develop prioritized problem lists based on inter-professional team input
• Design culturally appropriate interventions and actions
• Implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct ongoing assessments and document responses to procedures and therapies
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in patient care activities
• Monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care
• Identify and address patient educational needs according to comprehension level
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders timely
• Provide input into patient/nurse assignments considering staffing and patient acuity
• Participate actively in unit-based activities supporting organizational values
• Promote positive group dynamics and healing environment
• Participate in quality improvement activities and core measures including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Use holistic perspective regarding patient care approach
