Emergency Room RN Job in Marshalltown, IA

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed emergency department with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Every 3rd weekend schedule including holidays when scheduled
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• 16-hour shifts with guaranteed hours
• No on-call responsibilities
• Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Administer critical drips as needed
• Dress code requires navy, black, or gray solid scrub tops and bottoms
• 24 months of current/recent emergency room experience required
• Recent travel experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Preferred certifications: De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI), NIH Stroke Scale certificate
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multi-state license required
• Skills checklist specific to emergency department required
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within 24 months preferred
• Minimum 50-mile radius requirement (no local candidates)
