Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call required
• Day/Evening patient ratios are 5:1 (with possible stretch to 6-7); Night ratios are 6-7:1 (with possible stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs across Med Surg, ICU, and ED units
• Block schedule accommodations will be attempted but are not guaranteed
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Patients include adults and geriatrics with cardiac and stroke diagnoses
• Special equipment experience required: Hoyer lifts
• Required skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, and phlebotomy
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• NY nursing license required prior to submission
• No more than 7 days of requested time off; no holiday RTO
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
