Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM as 0.9 FTE
• Work weekends and participate in on-call/call-back coverage as needed
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7, with typical ratios of 4:1 that may flex up to 5:1
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required
• Must successfully pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment
• Provide direct patient care for medically complex patients in 48-bed progressive care unit
• Care for Med/Surg level patients in facility without direct escalation path to ICU
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Recognize, de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions
• Meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episode
• Two years current experience in 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit required
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment required
• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Solid scrub colors required with matching tops and bottoms
