About this role
You'll work as an RN in a 33-bed ICU at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 6, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM to 6:30 AM). You'll earn $2,384.64 per week.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adult ICU patients with a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3
- Manage patients across trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
- Titrate drips including cardiac medications, insulin, and sedation
- Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips
- Float to PCU and occasionally Med-Surg units with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Chart in the EPIC system
Scheduling & Requirements
- Work every other weekend (Saturdays and Sundays)
- Minimum of 2 holidays required during your contract
- Complete 1 shift of unit-specific orientation
- Pass a mandatory open-book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with a 90% score required
- Be available for on-call callbacks with a 30-minute response time
- You must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Required Credentials & Restrictions
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Driver's license at submittal
- Natural nails only; artificial nails are prohibited and contract termination will result from refusal to remove
- RTO (Return-to-Origin) needed upfront—7 or fewer days per 13-week contract
