Med Surg RN Job in Pittsburgh, PA

You will work as a Med Surg RN in the orthopedic operating room at UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning May 4, 2026.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Work 5 days per week on daylight shifts with rotating weekly schedules: 5:30 AM–2:00 PM, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, or 7:30 AM–finish
• The 7:30 AM shift may extend to approximately 4:00 PM–4:30 PM to complete elective cases and add-ons
• You may work 1–2 hours past your scheduled shift to complete add-ons; shifts extending beyond 2 hours are uncommon
• Weekend on-call coverage is required 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with 2 weekends scheduled per 6-week cycle
• Weekend duties consist of call coverage only with no elective schedule—these are typically not busy calls
• No weekday call requirements

Role Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team of 6 staff members: 3 RNs and 3 scrubs
• Cover 2 orthopedic operating rooms
• Support orthopedic surgical procedures across all five workdays
• Remain flexible with shift completion times to ensure all cases finish appropriately

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,304
