Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehab - Inpatient (Days) Des Moines, IA

Opportunity:

RN - Rehab Inpatient

Job Details:

• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
• Day shift patient ratio: 5:1, Night shift patient ratio: 7:1
• Care for acute rehab patient population including spinal cord injury, brain injury, oncology, limb loss, trauma/ortho, and general debilitation patients
• Work with 23-bed rehab unit at Iowa Methodist and 12-bed unit at Iowa Lutheran
• Administer Heparin drips as needed
• Must have 24 months of current rehab/med surg experience required
• At least 1 successful travel contract completed within previous 24 months required
• Must be experienced and proficient caring for brain injury, limb loss and spinal cord injury patients
• Must be able to handle variety of patients independently including neuro, ortho, trauma, and oncology
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certificate appreciated
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• EMR system: EPIC
