RN-Progressive Care Unit

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• 2+ years PCU experience required<br>• 1 year of nursing experience minimum required<br>• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards<br>• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting<br>• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan<br>• Assess patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects<br>• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs<br>• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for patient care evaluation<br>• Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn of patients/families/caregivers<br>• Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care<br>• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities<br>• Required: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina<br>• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)<br>• Education: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school of nursing required<br>• Preferred: BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing<br>• Must read, write, and speak English</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare system operates as a major academic medical center providing comprehensive healthcare services throughout North Carolina.
