Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Primary role in Level 3 NICU requiring proficiency in critical care of neonates
• Must be able to function independently including intubation (>22 wga), obtain arterial blood samples, and assist in high risk, low volume bedside procedures
• Must possess adult critical care skills including intubation, airway management, and arterial line insertion
• Work every other weekend
• No call responsibilities
• Float within hospital/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed
• 2 years minimum experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• CRT not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Must be proficient with Epic charting system
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period - work major holidays that fall during assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
