PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee
• Must agree to 36/48 hour alternating schedule (facility may consider straight 48s)
• Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg and PCU units
• Required to work weekends as needed, which may include most weekends during contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must have license in-hand before start date
• Must be available to complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with MS/PCU overflow diagnoses
• Extensive skills required including cardiac telemetry, drip management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and various medical procedures
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
