ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will provide direct patient care in the intensive care unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. As an RN, you monitor and care for critically ill patients requiring intensive medical attention, respond to emergency situations, and deliver life-saving interventions as needed.

Shift and Schedule

• Work three 12.5-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Every other holiday schedule required
• Must work July 3rd and 4th shifts

Your Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing services in the ICU setting
• Monitor vital signs, manage medical equipment, and adjust care based on patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other team members to deliver coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and clinical assessments
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient status and emergency situations
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care
