Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Albany, NY

As an RN in our Cardiac Cath Lab at Samaritan in Albany, NY, you will provide direct patient care during a wide range of cardiac interventional procedures. This is a 90-day travel assignment with 4x10 day shifts, working 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend and night call requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and intervene for patients undergoing left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, and structural heart procedures
• Support advanced therapies including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS devices
• Administer oral and intravenous medications and manage patients under sedation, monitoring for adverse reactions
• Serve as a member of the Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team)
• Educate patients and families on surgical site care, lifestyle modifications, medications, and postoperative instructions
• Complete patient consent forms, procedure documentation, charting, and lab result management
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and clinical staff to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Requirements:

• RN license valid in New York
• Minimum 2 years of experience in catheterization lab, procedural, or sedation settings

Compensation & Timeline:

Weekly pay: $3,146. Assignment begins May 24, 2026, and runs for 90 days. You'll work as part of a dedicated cath lab team in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment where your clinical skills and attention to detail directly impact patient safety and outcomes.
