OR Registered Nurse Job in Reno, Nevada

Join Renown Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. You will work 4x10-hour shifts per week with a predictable schedule and no on-call requirements, providing you with consistent work-life balance.

Schedule:

• Monday and Thursday: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Tuesday and Wednesday: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Role Overview:

You will deliver perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma OR with 18 operating rooms. Your patient population spans neonates to geriatrics across a wide range of surgical specialties. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with surgical teams and other professionals to ensure comprehensive nursing services for patients, families, and caregivers.

Clinical Experience:

This role exposes you to trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, cranial procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery, urology, vascular, open heart, general surgery, trauma orthopedics, pediatric, plastic, and ENT procedures. You will work in an extremely busy, fast-paced environment that demands the volume and operational tempo of a Level I trauma center.

Requirements:

• Current Nevada State RN license (required before start date)
• 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• CMP certification (all three certifications must be current within 1 year of your start date)
