Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Medical Trauma unit with 36 beds
• Patient ratios of 1 RN to 6-7 patients when not staffed with LPN teams; 1 nurse to 5-6 patients when staffed as LPN team model (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, up to 6 nurses (mix of RNs and LPNs), and up to 3 patient care technicians
• Work with typical acute care inpatient unit equipment including wound vacs, NG tubes, and chest tubes
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Care for patients with general surgeries including hernia repair, colon resection, thyroidectomy, and complex wound procedures
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med/Surg hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• Familiarity with pre- and post-op inpatient care preferred
• Wound care experience preferred
• Experience managing central lines (PICC, port, CVC) preferred
