Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Tawas City, MI

Join MyMichigan Health - Tawas as a Physical Therapist in our outpatient department. This is a part-time position working days, Monday through Friday, with no call or weekend responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will provide outpatient physical therapy services with acute care as a secondary focus. Your responsibilities include:

• Evaluating patient function through formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Developing goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submitting written treatment plans as part of physician-authorized care coordination
• Creating frequency and duration-specific treatment schedules in coordination with clinical support staff
• Educating patients, families, and caregivers regarding pathology, treatment alternatives, and prognosis
• Delegating responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Updating care plans to reflect changes in patient status
• Co-signing verbal orders received by physical therapist assistants as necessary

Position Details

This 91-day assignment begins June 15, 2026. You will work a 5x8 schedule (40 hours per week) at $2,818.08 weekly.

Requirements

• Active Michigan Physical Therapist License
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Physical therapy experience required
• Outpatient experience required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
