Opportunity:

RN - CICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity
• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
• RN-only unit with no HUC or PCT support
• ICU experience required
• Required scrub colors: All Navy or Navy and White; no pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Travelers float to all areas
• Must have skills in titration of vasopressor medications, sedation, and paralytics
• Must have experience with ventilators and tracheostomies
• Must be proficient in telemetry interpretation
• Must have understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Equipment used: Ventilator, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, Hypothermia
• Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• No certifications required; CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated
