ICU RN Job in Thornton, CO

You'll work as an RN in a 28-bed ICU at HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge in Thornton, Colorado. This is a 91-day travel assignment with two positions available.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (nights)
• $1,839.60 per week

The Role

You'll care for critically ill patients across two pods: Pod A (12 beds, first floor) and Pod B (16 beds, second floor). Patient ratios are typically 1:2, though they may be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity. Your work includes neuro-surgical cases, trauma (level III transitioning to level II), cardiac and respiratory arrests, ETOH and drug withdrawal management, and all ventilated patients.

Staffing and Support

The unit is staffed with 24/7 Intensivists and critical care technicians working 6 days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Your team includes 42 staff members with experience ranging from new graduates to 20+ years in critical care.

Equipment and Systems

You'll work with Meditech EMR, Pyxis dispensing, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, and Sub Zero equipment.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• TNCC and Meditech experience preferred
