Job Details:

• Work in a Respiratory Therapy unit within a main hospital building
• Day shift and night shift positions available, each with 1 supervisor and 2-3 respiratory therapists per shift
• Rotating weekends required
• Perform patient assessments and administer therapies including oxygen, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
• Assist with bronchoscopies at the bedside and in the endoscopy suite
• Assist with placement of artificial airways
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
• Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation
• Assist at moderate and high-risk deliveries for neonatal stabilization and/or resuscitation
• Serve as a clinical resource providing education to patients, families, and staff
• Set up, operate, clean, sterilize, and store respiratory therapy equipment
• Work with equipment including 840, 980, V60, Vapotherm, Hamilton MR1, C1, and C6 ventilators
• Use EMR system Meditech
• May float to sister facility's Respiratory Therapy department
• Critical care experience with adults is required
• NICU Level 3 experience with Oscillators, InoMax, 980s, Hamilton C6, and Vapotherm preferred
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred
• Required certifications: RCP license with Texas Medical Board, RRT with National Board for Respiratory Care, ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Pewter grey scrubs required
